Selection & Class Placement Process

  • A lottery system will be used if there is more demand for a class than there is space available.
  • A confirmation email will be automatically generated once registrations are received into our online system. This does not indicate your acceptance into the class.
  • A confirmation emails/letters will be sent on the Thursday before programs begin (in your child's Thursday folder).
  • If a program goes to a lottery and your child does not secure a spot in a class, you will receive a waitlist email/letter notifying you that your child is on the waitlist for that program in case a spot opens up.
  • If you have been waitlisted and you indicated a 2nd choice program at the time of registration, you will be automatically enrolled in this class and sent a confirmation email/letter will be sent.
  • Every effort will be made to place students in their preferred class, but please be aware that we cannot always accommodate every request. We work hard to provide every child with a placement in at least one program.
  • Special Consideration: Students who were placed on a waitlist for a class will have priority placement for that particular class next session. *A registration form for each student is still required.*

Class Withdrawals & Refunds

During the open registration period, you may withdraw your registration request for any reason. To request a withdrawal and/or a refund (if applicable), you must contact Baroody Camps at ([email protected]). After the open registration period has ended and once lotteries have been conducted (if needed), Baroody Camps cannot guarantee a full refund for any class(es). All refunds will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis & must be discussed with Baroody Camps directly. The Campbell PTA is NOT responsible for issuing credits/cancellations for any of the classes.

Arrivals to Programs

Teachers will receive an electronic and paper copy list of their students participating in Enrichment programs. They are asked but NOT required to remind students attend their programs. Students should arrive to the designated meeting area near the gym after school to meet their instructor and our On-Site Coordinator. We also ask parents to remind their children each morning.

Please also feel free to remind teachers and/or Extended Day Care staff that your child will be attending class.

Dismissal from Programs

It is imperative that you indicate the dismissal arrangements for your child on the registration form. Please note that it is not permissible to be late for pick-up. If you are late more than two times, your child will no longer be able to participate in the program. Please be aware that school personnel will not be available at this time to supervise your child

  • Parent Pick-Up: Parents/caregivers must pick up children promptly at the MAIN DOOR at 4:00pm. Parents/caregivers must sign their child out with their program instructor.
  • Extended Day Care: Students attending the Extended Day Care will be escorted to the appropriate location following the class.
  • Approved Walkers: Students will be released to leave on their own following class.

Changes to Dismissal: You are responsible for notifying Baroody Camps ([email protected]) of any changes to your child’s regular dismissal process from his/her after-school program. Baroody Camps will provide each Campbell teacher and each after-school programs Instructor with a list of children participating in the various after-school programs along with their dismissal instructions.

Snacks & Allergies

Snacks will be permitted at the start of programs each day in the designated area near the gym. We REQUIRE that all snacks provided are NUT-FREE

If your child has a medical condition and/or allergy, serious or not, please indicate this at the time of registration. If your child requires medication, please click HERE to complete our medication form. Program providers will be given an allergy list of students participating in their class. Snacks will be monitored by the On-Site Coordinator and the Program instructors in their classrooms with serious allergy students monitored closely.

Note: We do not have access to the health office during Project Discovery, however, our On-Site Coordinators are trained to store and administer medication safely.

Standards of Behavior

We want to ensure that all students participating in the Project Discovery enjoy the experience. In order for this to happen, it is expected that all students will conform to regular Campbell classroom and school rules and regulations while attending a program. The providers are all experienced Instructors and will use accepted classroom management techniques to allow misbehaving children to adjust. If a child continues to have difficulties, he or she will be removed from the class and be placed with the On-Site Programs Coordinator who will decide if and when to return the child to class that day. The On-Site Programs Coordinator will also inform the parents about the situation. If a child is removed from a class a second time, that child will be withdrawn from that class for the remainder of the session. The School will be informed of this decision. No partial refunds will be given in these situations. We look to all parents to support our class providers so that all children can enjoy the after-school classes.
